My curiosity  about my mother Frances P. Henderson’s mother  surname- MATHIEU led me on an ancestral genealogical journey that began some  25 years ago.

It sparked an interest that has caused me to dig a little deeper into a few family mysteries.  Several research results have revealed some pretty  interesting aspects about our family and its ties to Colonial Louisiana.

These two ladies are responsible for igniting that flame which is forever burning bright, leading the way to my discovery of the history behind our family mysteries.

My mom  also known as MAW-MAW on the left and  her 2nd cousin (mine too), Lenore LOMBARD on the right  have provided me with a few family facts which has helped me in piecing together my Louisiana Creole family tree.
